This half-day workshop serves as the official launch and dissemination event for the “Managers’ Guide on Financial Services for Garment Workers”. The event aims to:
- Provide factory managers and stakeholders with a comprehensive tool to make informed decisions about supporting workers' access to formal financial services.
- Highlight how workers’ financial inclusion – through digitization of wage payments as a first step - benefits employers through an 84% reduction in payroll administrative costs, time savings on payday, and improved worker retention.
- Provide factory management on a step-by-step process to engage, vet, and select appropriate financial service providers (FSPs).
- Promote understanding of the eight core financial services available to workers, including their benefits and potential risks.
