Leading by example: Khanara’s financial journey   Banner Image

As a Quality Control line leader in Cambodia, Khanara Huy isn’t just overseeing production - she’s also helping her team build stronger financial futures.

For many new workers, receiving digital wages for the first time is a major shift.

Although digital wages have many proven benefits for workers, from simplifying payments and remittances to increasing their likelihood of saving, this only happens if they have access to the right knowledge and tools.

That’s where RISE Financial Health comes in. Through the program, women like Khanara train as peer educators, learning essential skills like safe digital banking, financial planning, budgeting, and making financial decisions with their families.

Having made the switch from cash to digital wages herself, Khanara is now well-equipped to support her team.

“I explain to them that they should not trust anybody with their password. I advise them on what to do if they have issues accessing their account.”

For Khanara, digital financial products are not just convenient - they are life-changing.

“When my family needs money urgently, I can transfer it quickly. I want to save money through the app so that when I am older, I can buy a house or set up my own business.”
