We are working with the garment and financial sectors to build the business case for payroll-enabled financial products and services in the workplace that can strengthen both worker financial health and business performance.

Since 2025, RISE and the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth  have worked closely in Guatemala and Indonesia with global brands, buyers, suppliers, and financial service providers, alongside local partners, to implement RISE Financial Health and strengthen workers financial well-being.

Examples of the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth’s global work, such as RISE, illustrate how multi-sector partnerships, measurement, iteration, and replication help convert insights into scalable programs.

Together, we made important strides in 2025. Three years in, RISE has supported over one million workers through our workplace programs.

2024 Annual report: Collaborative Action toward Gender Equality in Supply Chains

C190 informs RISE Respect programmatic work to address gender-based violence and harassment (GBVH) in global garment supply chains.

Key Points:

1. Women workers are underrepresented in leadership roles within factories in the Ready-made-Garment (RGM) supply chains 
2. Existing activities focused on workers’ and supervisors' capacity building to promote women to supervisory roles don’t fully match the expectations of workers or address their concerns  
3. There is an opportunity to explore a broader approach to supporting women’s advancement, beyond supervisory roles, that can get the buy-in of women and support longer term business needs.  

Celebrating its first anniversary on International Women’s Day, RISE is expanding its membership to accelerate its gender equality mission.
